A successful event everyone will remember!

🤔What do you get when a Client with Expert Staff awards a contract to Experienced Enthusiasts and together they work with Dedicated Participants at a conference in Warsaw to exchange knowledge and practices? A successful event everyone will remember!!

🏅📝When we were awarded a contract to support the organisation and implementation of Peer Learning Activity (PLA) on Supporting Employment of Persons with Disabilities on 4–5 November 2025 in Warsaw, we knew we could get it right! Having done it successfully, we are delighted we could contribute to this important event.

🦽📊And the topic is important. Disabilities affect nearly 20% of EU working-age population, but only half of them are employed and one-third works full time. Persons with disabilities are neither victims nor heroes. They are people who want to provide valuable contribution to our societies and economies. We just need to make it easier for them. Accessibility of employment services and workplaces, engaging enterprises and supporting reasonable accommodation, supporting social economy for inclusive labour markets – such efforts can unlock opportunities for persons with disabilities, but in fact they benefit everyone.

💪We supported ETF in the whole process of PLA development and delivery, including support for fine-tuning of programme and interactive sessions, all logistical organisation and related arrangements, actual implementation of PLA on 4–5 November 2025 including study visits around Warsaw (plus an extra day of study visits on 6 November 2025 dedicated exclusively to Central Asia participants), and post-event reporting.

🏨✈️Looking back, it is no use listing all tasks and details that we had to keep an eye on. We are sure you can imagine the hassle of getting 45 people from various countries in one place, and then seamlessly navigating the whole group (over 70 people altogether) through the conference and study visits around Warsaw.

🔎But to have an opportunity to meet so many practitioners (ministries of labour, employment services, CSOs) from ETF partner countries and EU, to listen to their speeches, presentations, panel discussions, and to take part in group work – it was very stimulating and satisfying experience. Same as meeting the organisations hosting study visits: Foundation Avalon, Association Open Doors, Mazovian Centre for Social Policy, Foundation for Socio-Economic Initiatives, Foundation Malwa, Warsaw Employment Office, State Fund for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, Foundation Activation.

🖖Needless to say – it would not have worked without ETF’s excellent coordination and responsiveness and their expert work on the content! This joint effort made the event successful, and the feedback we have been receiving from the participants confirms it.
