In January 2022, GV’s experts will start the project whose main goal is to promote green and sustainable economic development, inclusive economic growth, and bolster job creation efforts in South Sudan. The specific objectives are:

– Conduct a sector analysis of relevant existing legislation, policies, strategies, assessments and academic papers concerning economic development, agriculture and natural resources, innovation, digitalisation, and private sector in South Sudan and the region;

– Map relevant ongoing and planned programmes/projects implemented by key governmental and non-governmental actors, international organisations and private entities both at national and regional level;

– Identify relevant domestic and international best practices for support of sustainable green economic development, agribusiness, natural resources management, innovation, digitalisation, and private sector whit focus on women and youth entrepreneurship and employability, while including climate change adaptation and environmental sustainability as cross-cutting elements to green growth;

Composed of home-based work and in-country missions, the project will last for 6 months.
