GREATVISORY analyzed Czech education system

In September 2021, GREATVISORY completed the study on analyzing education system in Czech Republic. The study research design covered qualitative methods like a literature review, national and policy research mapping and series of interviews with representative of main stakeholders: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Regional Development, Regional Authorities (Pardubice Region, Central Bohemian Region, Zlín Region, Pilsen Region, Olomouc Region) as well as Local Authorities (City Council of Ostrava, Capital City Municipality Prague).

The study presents the following findings:

– Number of learners enrolled in education and training in the last decade

– Trends observed in enrolment in the last decade

– Trends in enrolment that can be expected in the next ten years

– Geographical patterns in demographics and relevant population shifts

– Methodologies and data sources used to assess and forecast educational needs

– Criteria used for education project prioritisation, approval and funding

– Procedure of education project prioritisation, approval and funding

– Processes to ensure value for money

– Methodologies used to supervise education projects

– Methodologies used to monitor and assess investment performance, and take corrective actions, if needed

– Methodologies used to ensure asset performance throughout its lifecycle

– Sources of funding and delivery modes

– Involvement of and coordination between different levels of government

 

The study in Czech Republic is a part of bigger analysis of educational systems. The final report is expected to be published in spring next year.
